Honestly, I think that the 6D is a great camera for landscape photography. I think that the 5D4 will beat the 6D in dynamic range, and slightly edge the 6D in low light /noise performance. IMO the main advantage between the two, besides the 5D4 having higher MP, would be the AF points (61 vs 11) and cross-point AF (11 vs 1), and dual cards. We tested the Canon EOS R6 Mk II with a Canon RF 24-105 f4 lens from the manufacturer. Lensrentals also loaned us RF 15-35mm , RF 24-70mm f2.8 , and RF 70-200 f2.8 lenses. Innovations Overall audio features (like the headphone jack) not as great as the 5D mark III, but definitely better than the 5D mark II. That's why we always use the 5D mark III as a main camera, and close ups for lapel mic'd shots. And of course, the primary yet somehow not as practical reason of getting the 6D over the 5D mark II.
Re: Canon 5d MKIII vs the Canon EOS R. Mikeys wrote: Nice camera. However check if shadow recovery is on a level you expect. R suffers from Banding. The R does feature some banding in certain extreme situations, however this would require an extremely underexposed image (human error) which you are trying to recover.
01-13-2013 09:41 AM. Don't own a 6D but I've read plenty. It appears that the 6D's shutter assembly is whats it is and nothing that firmware can alter. Aside from the lower max shutter speed, the assembly is rated at 100,000 actuations instead of 150,000.
Bob from Boston siad it right, "You can't go far wrong with either camera." But I can't, nor can he, tell you what is best for you. I can tell you what I would do. I owned the 5D Mk II and a Mk III. They are simply fantastic cameras. If they can't get the shot, for whatever reason, it probably
The 6D is Canon's entry level full frame. The 5D Mk III a pro level full frame. As an entire package it is just a better camera, IMHO, of course. So I guess you know my answer, get the 5D Mk III and don't look back. You are aware that your EF-S lenses will not fit on a 5D ? Another word about your lens choices.

Although, the Canon 6D lacks some features that some other full-frame DSLR cameras at this price range have, such as the dual card slots and the autofocus system. While these are the 6D’s weakest points, the 5D Mark III is more popular since it has many more features than the 6D. Nonetheless, depending on what your requirements are, and for

Ein Jahr später erschien die 6D mit einem Listenpreis von 2000 Euro. The one issue this ignores is the amount of time necessary to create an exposure. I tested a 5D II and tested it against the 60Da for astrophotography and was blown away by the difference. The filter on the 60Da is so much better (filter. not sensor) that the 60Da can capture an image in substan

I tend to agree with you about lighting. Particularly in studio or a location with lighting equipment can be used and controlled, I would expect the resulting files to look about the same. Particularly if shooting tethered, where the 5D MK II's low resolution back lcd doesn't have to be solely relied on for checking fine focus / exposure. One thing is certain in the OP's question comparing 6d to 5d3 for long exposure night photography: This kind of photography renders the 5d3's expensive AF completely unnecessary. If this kind of work, and/or things like portraits, landscape, candids, macro, travel, are the main part of your usage, y

If the 7DII is really only just over a stop worse than the 6D, that's actually great for the 7DII. The 6D has Canon's best full frame low light sensor. That's about 2.5 times bigger than an APS-C sensor. If an APS-C sensor can come even close to just one stop worse than that, that would be terrific. .
